NBC New York: Firefighters are battling a huge 6-alarm fire in the Breezy Point neighborhood of Queens after Sandy swept through New York City, flooding the streets in the Zone A evacuation area.

At least 50 homes have been completely destroyed and some 170 firefighters are on the scene.
